SASKATOON — The City of Saskatoon reminds all property owners that the 2023 Property Tax payments deadline is fast approaching. Payments must be made by this Friday, June 30.

Property owners have several options available for paying their property taxes:

• Internet Banking: Utilize your bank's internet bill payment option to conveniently pay your property tax online. Please allow up to two business days for payment processing, as some banks may require additional time.

• Financial Institutions: Most institutions allow property owners to make tax payments while conducting regular banking transactions.

• City Hall Drop Boxes: Property owners can securely drop off their property tax cheque payments in one of the two designated drop boxes at City Hall. The drop boxes are outside the main entrance or the City Hall lobby. Please refrain from depositing cash. City Hall is situated at 222 3rd Avenue North.

• In-person Payments: Property owners may make payments in person at City Hall until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30. Accepted forms of payment include cheques, cash, or debit cards. It's important to note that Credit Cards cannot be used for property tax payments to the City of Saskatoon.

An option for property owners interested in spreading their property tax bill over 12 months is available. Once property taxes are current, individuals can apply for the Tax Instalment Payment Plan Service.

TIPPS enables property owners to make monthly pre-authorized debit payments rather than a single annual payment. Joining the TIPPS program can be done at any time and incurs no additional fees.

Suppose property owners have already mailed their 2023 Property Tax payments. In that case, they can inquire about their account balance by calling the Automated Voice Response toll-free line at 1-800-667-9944 or contacting Corporate Revenue Customer Service at 306-975-2400.

Property owners are advised that a monthly penalty of 1.25 per cent will be imposed on any outstanding 2023 property taxes left unpaid after June 30.
