Jane Shury, president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, presented the Community Award to Mayor Marcel Roy, as the City of Weyburn was inducted into the Hall of Fame for their contributions to the sport of baseball in the province. The award was presented at the Hall of Fame ceremonies on Saturday in Battleford, where the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum are located. Elmer Franks of Weyburn was also inducted to the Hall of Fame this year along with the Beck family of Lang.
