SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN - A fog advisory has been issued for southern Saskatchewan on Friday.
"Near-zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring. Patchy freezing fog has developed over portions of southern Saskatchewan this morning," Environment Canada said early in the day.
"The fog will dissipate through the morning hours. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations."
The advisory included Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Weyburn, Swift Current, Assiniboia and other areas in southern Saskatchewan.
The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline shows that fog is affecting visibility on some routes.
Meanwhile, extreme cold warnings remain in effect for many areas of the province, although they haven't been issued for communities south of Highway 1.
