Preliminary results show Conservative candidate Kelly Block has been re-elected for a sixth term as Member of Parliament (MP) in the Carlton Trail – Eagle Creek riding.
Block secured 77.7 per cent of the votes, tallying 29,130 votes, with 162 out of 185 polling stations reporting.
Coming in second was Liberal candidate Katelyn Zimmer with 6,209 votes, 16.5 per cent. NDP-New Democratic Party candidate Cheryl Loadman came in third with 2,148 votes or 5.7 per cent.
The Conservatives won 13 seats in Saskatchewan and the Liberal’s picked up one.
Voter turnout was 60.2 per cent of the 62,273 registered electors. The riding has a population of 84,111 with 62,273 electors on the list.
