Invermay student athletes impress at track and field provincials

Invermay School athletes found success at provincials in Saskatoon with several top ten finishes.

CANORA - Five students from Invermay School competed at SHSAA Provincial Track in Saskatoon on June 2-3, and did their school and community proud, according to Kent Seerey, coach. “All events were against 28 of the top High School athletes in the province and the Invermay athletes did an amazing job!”

Aron Cudal was a member of the senior boys district 4x100 relay team which won a bronze medal. In individual events, Cudal placed 11th in both long jump and triple jump, and 12th in javelin.

Nathaniel Minhinnick finished 20th in senior boys discus and 22nd in hurdles.

In junior boys shotput, Lance Corpuz came up with a personal best throw to place eighth.

On the girls side, Bailey Maier finished eighth in the junior girls high jump, and Marissa Fidek placed 19th in intermediate girls javelin.
