U18 Pats deliver big win, suffer disappointing loss

The Pats took care of business against Whitewood, but then went down to defeat versus first-place Indian Head.

PREECEVILLE - The U18 Preecville Pats faced a rough, challenging game against the Whitewood Elks on Jan. 21 that ended in a win for Preeceville with a  8-2 score. Scoring for Preeceville were: Kaiden Masley (three), Trae Peterson (three), Bronson Heshka of Canora and Brody Shankowsky. Assists were by: Jace Vogel, Dixon Paul, Mason Babiuk, and Briel Beblow and Bronson Heshka.

The next evening, the Pats fell short and recorded their second loss of the season when the Indian Head Chiefs travelled to Preeceville for an important league game, and beat the Pats with a 10-4 final score. The loss left the Pats tied for second place with Moosomin, and with only three points separating the two teams from Indian Head for the top spot of the league standings.

Scoring for Preeceville were: Mason Babiuk, Trae Peterson, Briel Beblow of Canora and Bryker Smith. Assists came from: Hunter Lamb and Bronson Heshka of Canora, Hudsyn Nelson, Jace Vogel and Spencer Leech.
