Ukrainian Heritage Museum hosts popular open house

New adult and child mannequins allow the museum to properly display its authentic Ukrainian clothing.

CANORA - The Canora Ukrainian Museum open house was held on July 10, one of the highlights of Canora in Bloom.

Visitors were invited to tour and enjoy the museum, along with refreshments and treats.

Dorothy Korol, one of the volunteers who works at the museum, said they are enjoying having a number of recently-added mannequins. The adult and child mannequins allow the museum to properly display its authentic Ukrainian clothing. The purchase of the mannequins was made possible by a grant from UCC (Ukrainian Canadian Congress) Saskatchewan.

Once again this year, the Museum is planning to observe Ukrainian Independence Day, which takes place on Aug. 24.

The Museum is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m., or with an appointment by phoning Dorothy Korol at 306-563-5211.
