Canora residents found many different ways to get into the spirit of Halloween with a variety of creative and scary yard displays.

Canora Composite School students and teachers collected food and donations as part of their Fill the Van Food Drive for Filling the Gap Food Bank in Canora on Oct. 24 at Gateway Co-op.

Tom and Kalissa Landa shared an evening musical artistry at the Canora Composite School auditorium, with music ranging from Mexican folk music to classic tunes from well-known names such as Neil Young and Paul Simon.

The Cougars battled hard throughout, according to Coach Shae Peterson, but Preeceville came out on top in all four sets.

The Safatli family made the move to Canora in late 2002, and in 2004 Gabby made his dream of owning a business a reality.

Planting conditions were less than perfect, and this was followed by a hot, dry summer that further impacted our garden’s productivity.

Canora Minor Hockey hosted a goaltender camp on Oct. 19 and 20 in preparation for the new hockey season.

All-museum meeting held in Preeceville incorporates museums from across the local region including Canora, Kamsack, Yorkton and Pelly.

“I want [Canora–Pelly residents] to know how grateful I am for their support and how humbled I am by the overwhelming support that we received in this campaign,” he said.

Members were asked to nominate a community group or non-profit organization raising funds for a project or program that impacts Crossroads Country for a chance to receive funding.
