Good Spirit Cross Country Ski Club members were excited to see the arrival of an earlier snowfall as compared to last year.

RCMP were dispatched to a report of a man passed out in a vehicle. Police located the vehicle and learned the driver was sober and was just having a nap.

The final game of the official Hockey Day in Saskatchewan saw the Notre Dame Hounds edge the Yorkton Terriers 4-3, after trailing 3-0.

Plenty of fans made the trip north from Yorkton to support the Maulers during Canora's Hockey Day in Saskatchewan, but Regina skated away with a 5-2 victory.

The U15 Highway 9 Predators, with players from numerous area communities, led from start to finish in a 7-4 win over Yorkton Terriers at the Canora Civic Centre on Jan. 15.

The final game of Hockey Day in Saskatchewan on Jan. 19 saw the U18 Canora Cobras meet the visiting Whitewood Elks at the Canora Civic Centre, with Whitewood victorious by 4-2.

A good turnout was experienced as Canora and area believers shared lunch and prayer at St Andrew’s United Church, Parkland Christian Centre, St Joseph’s R.C. Church, St. Peter and Paul U.C. Church and Gateway Community Church from Jan. 20-24.
