YORKTON - What do you do when you turn 75?

Well, when you are the Yorkton branch of Scotiabank you buy a cake and invite former employees and clients to stop in to celebrate the milestone.

That was what happened Thursday in the bank’s Parkland Mall location.

The day was an opportunity to thank the community “for supporting us for 75 years,” said local branch manager Crystal Wilcocks.

She added said the bank – which today has eight staff -- has had quite a history locally, including having two branches for many years – two different locations on Third Avenue through the years.
