KAMSACK — Update: RCMP say that on Nov. 22, Edgar Kakakaway Jr. was arrested without incident on Keeseekoose First Nation and was scheduled to appear in Kamsack Provincial Court on Nov. 24, A man considered dangerous by police is being sought in relation to a murder on Keeseekoose First Nation.
Original release: Kamsack RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit are asking the public to help locate 19-year-old Edgar Kakakaway Jr. from Keeseekoose First Nation.
Edgar Kakakaway Jr. is wanted by police for his involvement in the murder of a 16-year-old man from Cote First Nation on Keeseekoose First Nation during the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 19. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Edgar Kakakaway Jr. is described as being approximately six feet and weighing approximately 210 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
He is known to frequent the Keeseekoose First Nation, Cote First Nation, Kamsack, Canora and Yorkton areas in Saskatchewan.
Edgar Kakakaway Jr. is considered dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him, and call 911 or your local police immediately.

The investigation is ongoing and residents of Keeseekoose First Nation will notice an increased police presence in their community in the next few days.
Edgar Kakakaway Jr., from Keeseekoose First Nation, SK, has been charged with:
- Second-degree murder;
- Assault causing bodily harm;
- Failing to comply with a condition of a release order.
