New teachers join Kamsack Comprehensive Institute for 2024-25

KCI invites parents and students alike to come for a barbecue on Thursday, Sept. 12.

KAMSACK — Kamsack Comprehensive Institute (KCI) is welcoming several new educators to its team as the 2024-25 school year begins. The additions include teachers across a variety of subjects and grade levels, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the school.

Joining the school’s guidance department is Jordyn Staples. Staples will work closely with students to offer academic advice, mental health support, and career planning, helping students navigate their educational journey.

In the elementary division, Kalin Dolton has been appointed as the new Grade 5A teacher.

Grade 6A will see Rhonda Tide this year. 

Jessica Stangier will take on a diverse teaching role at KCI, covering Industrial Studies, English Language Arts, and Visual Arts. 

Jordan ven der Buhs has joined the staff as a Science teacher.

And Brooke Schwartz is now a Gym teacher.

KCI invites parents and students alike to come for a barbecue on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m., where there will be hot dogs, sodas and other drinks, activities, and music. 

Wendy Becenko also said, “We’re hoping to have more parents come out and be involved in the SCC this year. So if you're interested please attend our SCC meeting on Sept. 18!”
