Powerhouse Museum honours volunteers with sweet treats and certificates

Organizers recognized invaluable contributions of volunteers who have supported the museum's initiatives.

KAMSACK — The Powerhouse Museum board expressed heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated volunteers during a special gathering on July 14, where they were treated to a delightful celebration.

The event, held at the museum grounds, aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of volunteers who have supported the museum's initiatives. Volunteers were given a goodie bag including a certificate for the work they’ve done, and also a cheeseburger lunch, and angel food cake dessert adorned with frozen strawberries, complemented by scoops of ice cream.

Lydia Cherkas, president of the Kamsack Powerhouse Museum, emphasized the essential role volunteers play in the nonprofit sector. "We at the Powerhouse Museum know how crucial volunteers are to a non-profit like ours," Cherkas stated. "Your dedication, time, and skills have been instrumental in the success of our events, and for that, we want to celebrate every one of you.”
