The 2018 edition of the Lakeshore Stampede Rodeo down in the resort village of Elbow brought out fans of bronco-bustin’, steer-ropin’, bull-ridin’ entertainment last weekend, running over July 21 & 22.
The rodeo featured events such as saddle bronc riding as well as mini saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, ladies breakaway roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
Local talent was also on display for all in the packed stands to see in both the slack and rodeo performances, as Jesse Voth of Outlook impressed in the saddle bronc event. As well, Steve Wick & Mike O’Brien of Strongfield took part in the team roping event, as did Jarrett Nadeau, Tim Schnitzler & Tyler Cornet of Outlook. In other events, Paige Mizu of Conquest rode in the ladies breakaway roping and barrel racing, and also teamed with Joey Mizu in team roping. Another Outlook participant, Margaret Langager took part in ladies barrel racing.
The great weather and packed stands of rodeo fans helped ensure another successful Lakeshore Stampede event in Elbow.
