The Saskatchewan-based monitoring company SecurTek has achieved international Five Diamond certification. SecurTek-a SaskTel company-is just the fifth company in Canada to reach the standard.

"The whole philosophy of the company is to provide top quality service," said Wendy Zaporosky, Director of Central Stations. "We strive to be the best in class always."

In order to qualify for the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Five Diamond Certification, every SecurTek operator had to complete a special training course. The company also had to demonstrate proficiency in alarm verification, communication and emergency preparedness.

President Barry Rogers said Five Diamond Certification will "help us to show the excellence our employees are providing to our customers." He added it shows the great investment the company has made in their infrastructure and staff training.

SecurTek offers service across North America, and employs about 120 workers between their monitoring stations in Yorkton and Winnipeg.
