Three members of the United Commercial Travellers No. 578 Inc. Charity No. 204729 of Yorkton were honoured at an AWARDS NIGHT held September 9, 2015 at Melrose Place in Yorkton. This was part of the function hosted by the Regina UCT as an Appreciation Night for Yorkton UCT executive, their spouses and area members. Wayne Griffin, the Regional President representing UCT councils in Manitoba and Saskatchewan attended the function and presented 50 year AWARDS and PINS to Keith Washenfelder and Ken Brice. A third member Morris Peterson was unable to attend. United Commercial Travellers serve our community by making donations to many ongoing projects. These include Yorkton Minor Sports, The Salvation Army, The Soup Haven, Yorkton Mental Health, Yorkton Senior Mobility, Yorkton Youth Scholarships, Yorkton Music Festival, Yorkton Abilities Council, The East Central Health Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society and Canadian Red Cross.
