21 year old from Leask killed in collision

A 21-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of a collision Monday. His family has been notified.

MARTENSVILLE — A young man from the Leask area has been killed in a collision near Martensville.

On July 4 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Warman RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 12, approximately five kilometres north of Martensville.

Initial investigation has determined that a northbound SUV and northbound pickup truck collided, and the SUV then rolled. The 21-year-old male driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. His family has been notified.

The occupants of the pickup truck did not report any injuries.

Highway 12 was closed for initial investigation but has since re-opened. Warman RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
