Now into its fourth year, the Togo After-School Program recently received funding of $1,900 from Affinity Credit Union.
On behalf of Affinity, Georgina Harambura of Runnymede, presented the cheque to program organizers.
The program is being held on one Tuesday of each month during the school year, said information from organizers. Each Tuesday has a theme. On October 20, it was Halloween; on November 10, it was Remembrance Day, and on December 1, it was Christmas.
On January 12, the theme will be winter festivities; February 4, Valentine’s Day; March 8, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter; April 12, spring flowers; May 3, Mother’s Day, and June 14, Father’s Day.
On June 23, the year-end celebration will be held in conjunction with June being recreation and parks month.
“We had hoped to increase the quality of our time together by giving one action-packed fun-filled program together every month,” the information said.
