Jim and Ann Purves attended the Great Canadian Barn dance at Hill Springs, Alberta. On their return they stopped at Medicine Hat and visited with Jim's nephew and family, Scott, Cindy and Kyle Parsons. Alvin Hanson visited in town over the weekend. A number of folks from town attended the Sunflower craft show in Yorkton over the weekend. Congratulations from the community to Terry Campbell who was united in marriage to Jamie Schwartz of Langenburg on the long weekend.

A very successful Night Golf Tournament was held at the Bredenbury Golf Course this past Saturday. There were 56 golfers that started at 4 o'clock and 71 golfers for the night golf. Winners for low score were: Ladies - Kristin Dyke, Men - Don Ray St. Marie, Most Honest Golfers - Ladies - Connie Taylor, Mens - Chris Morrison, Longest Drive - Reid Fuchs, Chipping Competition - Shelby McLellan.

A delicious supper was served at 6:30 with over one hundred attending. The night golf started after supper at dark. The golf course had many strings of xmas lights making the boundaries of the course. Fireworks were set off throughout the evening. Many enjoyed sitting around the bon fire waiting and watching the golfers come in. A big "thank you" to the people who worked so hard setting up for the day and the ladies who prepared the delicious meal. A good time was had by all. Thanks for all the support. The Bredenbury Golf Club will hold their membership tournament on Sunday, Sept. 30. Note the change of the date.

Deepest sympathy to the friends and relatives of the late Kim Tarasoff. Kim was a former resident and student at Bredenbury School.
