Talk about great timing! Debbie Olynyk had just finished looking for a new car when she discovered she had won $100,000 on the March 24 Lotto Max Extra. Now, the Buchanan resident is gearing up to get the car she’s always wanted.

“We were pricing out cars, and I saw one that I really liked,” she said. “My husband said to me, ‘The only way we could get that is if we won the lottery.’

“Later that day, we did! So, now we’re going to get it,” she said.

Olynyk said she is looking forward to paying off all of her bills and living debt-free, according to a release from Saskatchewan Lotteries.

“Being able to buy a new car and not have to take out a loan; it’s kind of a dream come true,” she said.

Olynyk’s winning ticket was a Lotto Max free play won on a previous draw, and she paid $1 to add Extra, the release said. She received her winning Lotto Max and Extra ticket at the Gateway Co-op Ltd., located at 707 Norway Road in Canora.

Saskatchewan Lotteries is the fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture, recreation and community groups, it said. Learn about games, jackpots, winning numbers, Saskatchewan winners, who benefits, and more at mobile-friendly www.sasklotteries.ca.
