Playing host to the Cote Novice Chiefs on Sunday, the Canora Novice Red team recorded an overwhelming 24-2 win.
Canora’s goalie, Chase Fountain, played goal for the first time in his young hockey career and he made the team proud of him by making “some unbelievable saves,” said his coach Kent Hembling. Assisting with the coaching duties are Kelly Beblow and Jarod Butler.
”All the kids had a great time, making their coaches proud,” said Hembling. “We are very fortunate to have a great bunch of kids and parents.”
Hembling thanked all the fans saying the players felt the energy from such a large group of spectators.
