Class Hopes to Honor Warwaruk's Memory

Funds being raised for project to remember young teen

The shocking, heartbreaking loss of 17-year old Justin Warwaruk of Outlook is still being felt in the community by his family, friends and loved ones, but his former classmates from Outlook High School are hoping to honor his memory with a special project they’ve recently undertaken.

On Wednesday, July 26, a crowd-funding web page was launched by Warwaruk’s fellow graduating class of 2017, with a set goal of $1000 in order to pay for the construction of a memorial bench that will bear Justin’s name and help preserve his memory.

To date, $600 had already been raised for the project at the time of this issue.

Warwaruk lost his life when he went missing in the waters of the South Saskatchewan River on July 16.  His body was recovered on July 21.
