By attending a pancake breakfast at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church in Kamsack on February 28, Kamsack residents raised $900 for the Kinsemen Telemiracle.

Members of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) organized the meal along with representatives of four other congregations, said Helen Rose, an organizer. That was the fifth annual Telemiracle fundraising breakfast.

The meal included pancakes, eggs, ham, strawberries and whipped cream and coffee and tea, she said. About 100 plates were served.

About 44 persons attended the World Day of Prayer at St. Stephen’s on March 44, Rose said, adding that from that group a total of $360 was raised which is to go to the women of Cuba who had written this year’s World Day of Prayer service.

Next year the World Day of Prayer service in Kamsack will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
