Edward Tucker passed away in Regina on August 29 at 87 years of age. Edward and his late wife, Hazel, (nee McQuitty) operated the Butcher Shop in Dubuc in the 50's selling out to Fred and Helen Willway. Memorial Services were held on September 6 at Speers Funeral Chapel in Regina. Sympathy from the community goes out to his family and friends.

Heather Moller was home from Ontario for a few days to visit with her parents, Earle and Nina Moller. She was accompanied by a good family friend, Jane Leney. Jane had travelled through Saskatchewan before but this was the first time she had stopped to visit in the province. She found the people friendly and the countryside scenic and interesting. The Mollers took Jane sightseeing to where Heather was raised. They toured the beautiful Qu'appelle Valley and attended Coffee Row at the Hut. They all spent time visiting in Yorkton with Heather's 104-year-old great aunt, Lydia Zimmer. Heather's hubby, Jeff Beck, has been under the weather and was at home waiting for medical treatment. Hope you don't have to wait much longer, Jeff, before you are on the mend.

Don and Glenda Belll were pleased to have Bev Kraft from Lloydminster for a three day visit. During that time, Bev was able to attend the funeral of her great aunt, Jessie Stokes. Other family members attending the service and visiting with Don and Glenda, Darrell, Jacqui and Clay Bell were: Cailee Bell, Saskatoon; Logan Bell, Churchbridge; Mallory and Tara Bjella, Calgary, AB; Lorraine and Ed Maryniak, Regina; Lyle, Lea, Alyssa and Jarrett Smulan, Echo Lake; Carole Smulan, Lemberg; Gail Helmeczi, Esterhazy; Ida and Elmer Shirley, Kelvington; Marg and Dave Safnuk, Regina; and, last but not least, Bob and Rita Scott, Estevan.

Congratulations to Allyssa Freed and Jared Schlechter who were married on Saturday, Sept 8. The wedding and the celebration that followed were held in the Stockholm Hall. They have a two year old son, Kayle, who looked so handsome as he walked his Mommy down the aisle to meet Daddy. Oh, so cute!! The happy couple will be residing in Bangor. The bride is the eldest daughter of Charmaine and Sheldon Freed of Stockholm who own and operate the Dubuc Hotel. The groom is the only son of Allan and Darlene Schlechter of Bangor. Many local Dubucites, young and old, enjoyed the festivities. Allyssa and Jared, may you have a long, healthy and happy life together.
