SASKATOON – A preliminary hearing has been set for five people arrested last year in what Saskatoon Police described as a targeted home invasion.
The hearing on Nov. 25 in Saskatoon Provincial Court will determine if there’s enough evidence for Heather Rene Peequaquat, Jordan Gamble, Carolyn Jean Marie Sutherland, Twyla River Angel Ahpay, and Gerek George Slippery to stand trial.
Peequaquat, Gamble, Sutherland, Ahpay, and Slippery were charged with unlawful confinement and aggravated assault in relation to an incident in 2020. Saskatoon Police say they responded to a report of a 26-year-old man being held against his will and assaulted at a house in the 400 block of Avenue G South in August 2020.
Peequaquat was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant last year for being unlawfully at large.
