SASKATOON – A bench warrant to hold has been issued for a 60-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting numerous victims when he was acting as a healer.
If Cecil Wolfe fails to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on April 13 then the judge may choose to activate the bench warrant. Wolfe was released on bail and failed to appear on March 30 as scheduled to elect how he wants to be tried.
Wolfe faces 11 sexual assault charges. Police believe there could be more victims from the last 20 years in Blaine Lake, Loon Lake, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatoon and surrounding areas.
The charges against Wolfe haven’t been proven in court.
Police say that the investigation remains active and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300.
