The Norquay branch of the CIBC has made a presentation of $2,500 to the Assiniboine Valley Health Centre in Kamsack.
On November 25, Jackie Polowich, manger of the Norquay branch of the CIBC, presented the cheque to Kamsack Mayor Rod Gardner, who is the chair of the fundraising committee for the Assiniboine Valley Health and Wellness Foundation, which owns and operates the Centre.
“CIBC is honoured to make a special presentation to the Assiniboine Valley Health and Wellness Foundation, which is such an important and vital service for this community,” said a release from CIBC.
“Two of CIBC’s core values are to help build stronger communities and raise healthy families, and what better avenue for that than this clinic,” the release said.
“Our commitment to the Foundation and in turn, the Clinic, is an extension of our support for hospitals and health programs across the country,” it said. “In fact, in 2014, CIBC invested more than $4.3 million in hospitals and health programs, with over half of this funding focusing on providing innovative treatment, comfort and care to people living with cancer.
“CIBC’s support will help address the current needs and demands for services by the members of our community and (will help ensure) patients receive the best medical care possible.”
