The Preeceville liquor store now has a new location and name under the management of Garth Harris. The new store, known as Thirsty Dogz Liquor, opened for business on November 21.
The new downtown location is 17 Main Street in Preeceville. Garth Harris has 40 years experience as he was the manager at the previous location under Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming. The new location is under the sole management of Harris.
"With the new location and under new management, we will be able to offer new and better selections of products, extended hours and better customer service," said Harris. "I have been able to purchase approximately 90 per cent of the old stock from the other store but it has been a challenge because simultaneously Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming was conducting its inventory.
The store will feature customer access from the back and front and expanded hours, he said. The new store is still a work in process and in its beginning stages but will remain open through the changes.
"I want to thank Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming for giving me a job and with the liquor store, now located downtown, I believe it is a step closer to helping to revitalize the downtown of the community," said Harris.
