Preeceville novice hockey team hosts six-team tournament

Preeceville Novice Pats win second at home tournament

            The Preeceville Pats novice hockey team hosted a six-team hockey tournament on November 25 and November 26.

            "The tournament was great with players playing hard and with great fan support," said Kent Seerey, coach.

            Teams entered were from Preeceville, Kamsack, Yorkton Century 21, Swan River, Yorkton Outta Here Travel and Hudson Bay. Swan River won the tournament followed by Preeceville in second place and Hudson Bay placed third.

            The Preeceville Pats took on the Kamsack Flyers in the first game of the tournament. The Pats defeated Kamsack with a 12-2 win. Scoring for the Preeceville were: Avyn  Seerey (four goals), Bracyn Konkel (four goals), Trae Peterson, Luke Sandager, Darian Serdachny and Carsyn Galiz. Assists were by Sandager, Connor Burym, Hudsyn Maier and Avyn Seerey.

            The second game for Preeceville had the players facing off against Yorkton Century 21. The final score was 10-7 for Preeceville. Scoring for Preeceville were: Carsyn Galiz, Avyn Seerey (four goals), Trae Peterson (three goals), Bracyn Konkel and Connor Burym. Assists were by Konkel, Peterson, Burym, Alex Neilson and Galiz.

            The final game for the gold featured Preeceville against Swan River. The final score was 8-1 for Swan River. Trae Peterson was the only one who scored for Preeceville. He was assisted by Bracyn Konkel.
