SASKATOON — What CP Rail says was a malfunction at a signal crossing west of Saskatoon resulted in traffic backing up miles on both sides.
The signal is on Highway 7, affecting all four lanes of traffic, according to an eyewitness. As of 12:45 p.m., traffic was apparently backed up all the way to the city and CP had said they were sending someone to the scene.
About two minutes after SASKTODAY.ca posted this story, the gate opened and traffic began flowing, says our eyewitness.
