Update: SPS investigate death of pedestrian struck by vehicle

Police are asking people to avoid the area of 22nd Street and Avenue X South

Update: Members of the SPS Collision Analyst Unit are investigating a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Oct. 2.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. Police were called to the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue X South where the collision had occurred.  A vehicle travelling eastbound on 22nd Street struck a 62-year-old man as he was attempting to cross 22nd Street.  The man later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.  

Police say a further update will be provided when the investigation is concluded.

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police are on the scene of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

The collision occurred at 22nd Street and Avenue X South in the east bound lanes just after 7 p.m. The male pedestrian was transported by Medavie Health Services. 

Motorists should avoid the immediate area.
