SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Fire Department assisted in putting out a commercial fire in Green Meadow Estates in the village of Clavet, southeast of the city.
The SFD, at about 3 p.m. on Sunday, received a call from provincial dispatch requesting mutual aid for a large commercial building fire in Green Meadow Estates.
The SFD dispatched one engine, one brush truck, two tankers, and a Battalion Chief. Upon arrival, SFD’s crews found a large industrial structure fully involved in fire.
Fire crews from Clavet, Allan and Bradwell were also present on scene.
Following the command of Clavet’s Fire Chief, SFD’s firefighters assisted with extinguishing the fire.
SFD personnel remained on scene and assisted with fire suppression until after 11 p.m.
Due to the magnitude of the fire, there was significant loss to the property.
A fire investigation and damage estimate will be initiated by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.
