Warrant issued for man charged by Saskatoon Police Guns & Gang Unit

Robert Burr failed to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court

SASKATOON – A warrant has been issued for a man arrested by the Saskatoon Police Guns & Gang Unit.

Robert Burr, 59, failed to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Jan. 20. He is charged with eight weapons-related offences.

He was arrested after a police investigation by the Guns & Gang Unit into drug trafficking. According to Saskatoon Police, investigators were tipped off that people at a residence in the 200 block of Laurentian Drive were trafficking drugs and were in possession of weapons. The Saskatoon Police Tactical Support Unit raided the home at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2021. Police seized two loaded firearms, prescription pills, ammunition, and an air pellet rifle.

A traffic stop was initiated in relation to this investigation and 60-year-old Helen Burr was charged with five firearms related offences. She appears in Saskatoon Provincial Court next on Feb. 2.
