Harmony House Music of Kamsack held a winter music recital on January 24 at the Kamsack United Church.Â
Darren Kitsch, Kira Kitsch and Kyler Kitsch teach piano and guitar lessons to over 30 students from the Kamsack area. The recital was performed on piano, except for one additional duet performed by Darren and student, Max stone, on guitar.  Â
“We have students as young as four years of age, and adults who are in their 70s and learning to play,” said Darren. “For this recital, students as young as four, up to age 18 participated by each playing a piece of music.Â
“One student, Meri Burback, also played an additional piece of her own composition,” he said. “We are very proud of all of our students in sharing their music in the community. We know how much work it is learning to play an instrument, not only for the students, but also the parents who are at home guiding their children’s practices. Â
“This year a number of students will be playing their practical piano exams at their level. We are looking forward to our spring outdoor recital in late May,” Darren concluded.Â
