YORKTON - After it took shoot-out action to decide the game Friday the Yorkton Terrier versus Melville Millionaire rivalry headed to Melville for action Saturday.
The home team shone in the opening period at the Horizon Credit Union Centre scoring the only two goals of the frame.
Liam Cox-Smith started the SJHL action turning a powerplay opportunity into a goal at 8:01.
Tucker Buhay made it 2-0 at 15:43.
A goal by Preston Tauter at 3:34 in the second period made it a 3-0 lead for the Mills.
Cooper Algayer finally put the Terriers on the board at 7:17 to make it a 3-1 contest.
And that would be it as the team were both held off the score sheet the rest of the way.
William Dyke was in net for the Mills facing 40-shots for the win, while Blake Sittler was the Terrier netminder. He faced 42-shots in the loss.
The Terriers are back in action hosting Humboldt Tuesday, with Weyburn at the Westland Saturday.
