It was not the greatest of nights for the YRHS senior football team Friday.

They headed to Regina to meet up with the Notre Dame Hounds.

YRHS had a three point lead, says head coach Roby Sharpe and then everything came apart, including the collarbone of tail back/running back Jake Prybylski.

"He was running the ball, he dropped his shoulders and broke his right collar bone," explained Sharpe over the weekend.

Prybylski, who is known for his ball carrying ability, got down to lower himself to his tackler, but was hit hard enough on his left side, that it snapped his right collar bone.

"He landed on the football," says Sharpe. "It was a freak accident."

Sharpe said Prybylski was declared healthy enough to return home with his team following the game.

Sharpe added that there is no way of telling how long Prybylski will be on injury reserve.

In Regina that night, Prybylski and the YRHS Raiders were looking just fine with time winding down, leading 10-7, but fell in the end by 28-16.

"We had it," says Sharpe, recalling the play-by-play of the game. "It was just a physical game and guys got nicked up."

Prybylski was not the only Raider to get hurt against the Hounds.

Slot back and defensive specialist Paul Toth also went down with an injury in the Notre Dame game.

Sharpe said Prybylski had five carries and picked up nearly 100 yards.

Going into Friday's matchup with the Hounds, YRHS was locked in a four-way tie in the Regina Intercollegiate Football League along with Luther College, Johnson and O'Neill; all had 1-1 records for two points.

Miller and Notre Dame sit atop of the league. With the win, Notre Dame improves to 3-0 for six points, while Miller was at 2-0 heading into last weekend's action.
