Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement.
Michelle is very kind and is always willing to assist others. She helps others to understand their homework, studying for tests and works hard for SRC functions. Michelle may not be the most outspoken person, but she leads silently with her actions. She is a positive influence on others with her bright smile and positive personality. Michelle is an intelligent girl, earning maintaining marks in the nineties. She is on the honour roll with distinction. She completes her assignments on time (if not early) and attends class regularly. Michelle is always pushing herself to do better and has a farm girl work ethic. She participates in soccer, volleyball, and SRC. Michelle is involved with Ukrainian, jazz and ballet dancing in the community. Michelle is an excellent addition to the SRC this year. She demonstrates excellent leadership skills and is very friendly. These skills were very evident during welcome week where she was a great help guiding new students through the school and graciously sharing her knowledge about the school with them. She is a great representation of responsibility that is needed to be portrayed in a senior student. She also knows how to following, listening to others and taking their advice. Michelle regularly attends St. Gerard’s parish.
Justin is very quiet and a pleasure to work with. He is always helping Mrs. Maleschuk in the library with bar coding books and checking books out. When he is not helping in the library, he is helping Ms. Hebert and Mrs. Hansen. Justin is a very hard working student and is always looking for something to do. His school work comes first and assignments are always completed on time. Justin has been involved with SADD for the last three years, participates in the Relay for Life and I Am Sam Walk. He enjoys fishing and spending time out at the farm with his family. Justin is always kind to other students. He is a parishioner at St. Gerard’s church.
