The Sturgis Composite School junior boys and girls co-hosted a four team basketball tournament on December 1.
Teams entered were: Sturgis, Hudson Bay, Norquay and Yorkdale.
In the boys division, Yorkdale won first place and Sturgis placed second. In the girls division, Norquay won first followed by Yorkdale.
Members of the Sturgis Composite School junior boys basketball team were: Tylan Kucharyshen, Cameron Secondiak, Andrew Lacaran, Wyatt Fedorchuk, Daniell Mirva, Keannu Albaracin, Kaiden Masley, Austin Barch, Mason Babiuk, Jon Alblas, Cole Secondiak, Xage Miraflor, Kimmuel Albaracin and Jake Soltys. The coach was Nathan Hrynchyshyn.
Members of the Sturgis junior girls team were: Paige Hansen, Kylie Babiuk, Ciara Soltys, Alexis Vidomski, Trina Correos, Alison Peterson, Sierra Karcha, Brynn Babiuk, Shaylyn Karcha, Anna Hort, Jordyn Blanchard, Alecia Shuba and Allyssa Mirva. Brad Cameron was the coach.
