The Yorkton Regional High School Raider junior football team headed to Regina over the weekend to play the Regina Raiders.

Regina won the game 42-0, said YRHS head coach Lance Stilborn.

"Yeah it was," replied Stilborn when asked if the game was that bad.

"They scored on their opening drive," he added. Stilborn suggested that it was a combination of bad play on Yorkton's part and being out coached. He added that the Regina Raiders may be up for the league championship later next month.

YRHS boasted a 3-2 record going into Regina but Stilborn suggested his team will "learn a lot from a loss".

He said Regina's ability to move the ball was something no one on YRHS had seen this season.

Stilborn noted Regina was running offensive plays that made it impossible to keep up with.

Yorkton's next football action will be this weekend when YRHS tangles with the Stampeders.

Game time is 12:15 p.m., at Kinsmen Century Field.
