Letter to the Editor - YBID thanks flood help

Dear Editor: On behalf of the Yorkton Business Improvement District, our member and residents we want to take this opportunity to offer our thanks to the hundreds of people involved in the recovery efforts following the Canada Day flash flood.

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Yorkton Business Improvement District, our member and residents we want to take this opportunity to offer our thanks to the hundreds of people involved in the recovery efforts following the Canada Day flash flood.

To the members of Yorkton City Council, to Emergency Services of Police Fire and Ambulance to the men and women of our Public Works Department, the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Provincial Government we say "Job Well Done".

While all of Saskatchewan has been struck by a variety of weather situations, residents of Yorkton worked with our City Administration to overcome last week's sudden rainfall. Neighbour helping neighbour, emergency services working side by side helped to make the work effective and compassionate.

The media updates from office of Mayor Wilson kept us all in the loop on a regular basis.

With the cleanup and rebuilding in full swing, we ask the residents of Yorkton to please be patient as those businesses that were forced to close their doors or alter their hours of operation are working hard to return to normal. To our YBID membership we offer any assistance we can.

Yorkton has always risen to any challenge in good times and bad. We know our community will once again get through this and emerge stronger and better prepared for the future.

Donald Stein, Chair and all the members of the Yorkton Business Improvement District Board of Directors.
