OUTLOOK - It's Halloween in the riverside community of Outlook, and that can only mean one thing when the clock strikes close to 4:00 in the afternoon.
The annual candy drop at AG Foods, which has been held every October 31st for decades.
The event, a community favorite among Outlook youngsters and families, was once again held this year as Halloween brought with it sunshine and blue skies, with only the faintest of fall breezes.
A large, excited mob of costumed kids along with parents and family members grew and grew in the lot just beside the store as a handful of staff oversaw the action from up above, even shooting live video and posting it to the store's social media page.
Once the candy started being thrown, the action became intense as the kids scoured the ground and started collecting all that sugary goodness. If anyone happened to pick up an eyeball candy, they could even claim a prize inside the store from staff.
The candy drop routinely serves as the unofficial kick-off to trick-or-treating for Outlook kids and families, and this year's Halloween was certainly no different as all sorts of creatures, ghouls, and pop culture characters were seen on sidewalks, crossing streets and heading out into neighborhoods all over the irrigation capital.
