LAKE DIEFENBAKER - One of the most popular lakeside recreation spots around Lake Diefenbaker is now without its local store.

The Danielson Park Store, located in Danielson Provincial Park, closed its doors last week, with operators Rick & Jill Long posting a final goodbye to the building on the store's Facebook page.

Now permanently closed, the province's Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport says that the building is set to be demolished, explaining that Danielson Provincial Park has been identified as an ideal location for future business development which could include facilities and services such as a new store location, rental accommodations, and watercraft rentals.

Those who may be interested in pursuing business opportunities in the park can reach out by email to [email protected].
