OUTLOOK - Local business owner Dylan Redlick is pretty excited these days.
Redlick, who's owned and operated PMC Sales Equipment & Irrigation in Conquest for ten years, formerly known as Prairie Mechanics Corp., is busy setting up the newest location for his business in Outlook as the riverside community will soon be the newest addition to the PMC Sales brand.
Having recently purchased the former Southern Irrigation building along the east end of Saskatchewan Road, Redlick says the process of acquiring the shop was quick and he's already working with staff to prep the new location.
"I was very excited about the opportunity to get into Outlook," said Dylan, sitting down with this reporter. "We've actually been in business now for ten years this year. With this, I saw an opportunity as I saw the business evolving and growing pretty quickly."

In the past decade that they've been in business, PMC Sales has garnered a rock-solid reputation based on customer service and the products that they sell from brands including Reinke and Dewulf, and they're the only dealership in Saskatchewan selling AgroTom tillage and high-speed disc units.
Redlick says it's the commitment to quality in performing everyday tasks that staff carry out that he believes customers notice first.
"I think it's just hard work," he said. "Being honest with customers, doing what we say we're going to do, and being driven."
Growth plays a factor in PMC's success, as shown by the location of this reporter's talk with Redlick in his new shop. He says that having the opportunity to grow his business was always something he wanted to see happen, and the timing was right for the Conquest business to spread out over the river valley and into Outlook.
"It was always a part of the plan," said Dylan. "I always wanted to see it happen. I thought being in Outlook would improve and grow our business a lot. We have a lot of customers from this side of the river, and some of them struggle with coming all the way to Conquest, which I understand. But I saw the opportunity that was here, and I think it's going to help us grow tremendously."
The new location will also help the business build its brand more as customers will see more of the products that PMC carries.
"A lot of customers don't even understand the products that we carry and how much we have of everything," explained Redlick. "I know it's actually a little small for what I would like just because it's hard to showcase every product we sell here, but together with Conquest, I still think it's going to help us for sure."
Heading into spring, this time of the year sees PMC Sales focusing on irrigation, with Dylan noting that the shop is busy with projects that need to be finished starting from last winter and the fall. Despite the work going on in the shop, customers can always expect a level of commitment that they may not find anywhere else, and with the newest shop location, everyone is excited to see what may lay ahead.
"It's just that service and that personal connection," said Redlick. "We understand what people are trying to do, and I think we strive to help them reach their goals. This new shop is going to help us a lot. I know the name change has been different for everybody, and then with the new location, having all this kind of stuff happen at once can be a lot, but I'm excited. I think the staff are excited as well."

With the added location, PMC Sales is on the lookout for more staff members, with job notices being posted on their website and Facebook page seeking parts workers, service writers, salesmen, and technicians.
Seeing how much his business has grown in the last decade, Dylan says that he'd like to see that trend continue in the next five to ten years as everyone watches the ag and irrigation sector in Saskatchewan make waves, and along with the expansion of PMC, he believes that the business has what customers need to make their own operations grow.
"It's really hard to say," he said, touching on where irrigation and the ag sector may be headed in the province over the next few years. "I just want to see it expand and grow. I think that we do offer good product lines and once people realize that, they can help their own farm grow."
The new Outlook location for PMC Sales is expected to open later this month.
