GOODSOIL - A local high school student has just claimed gold in a provincial golf championship.
Morgan Chabot, who attends LCBI High School, won a gold medal with the Female District West Central team at the 2024 Provincial Golf Championships last week.
Chabot and her team delivered an excellent performance at the SHSAA Provincial Golf Championships event that was held at the Northern Meadows Golf Club in Goodsoil over September 27 & 28. Joining Morgan on the team were fellow talented athletes Ayla Stevens and Claire Kosolofski from Kindersley and Chloe Wills from Kyle.
The team's hard work and dedication paid off, earning them top honors among other impressive golfers on a provincial stage.
With the golfing season coming to a close, communities in the west central region commend these athletes for representing their schools and reaching such an impressive goal on a provincial stage.
