OUTLOOK - The day just went to the dogs on Saturday, November 16.
At the Outlook & District Heritage Museum that afternoon, a festive event aimed at including our four-legged friends was held as Santa 'Paws' Day welcomed a healthy turnout of local residents and their tail-wagging family members.
Santa Claus was on-site taking photo after photo with anyone who wanted to drop by, and even had treats for dogs who stopped by to pose for a photo as well as goodie bags for kids. As well, an artwork station kept a number of youngsters busy, and in the irrigation side of the museum, treats such as popcorn, chips and juice were available for anyone looking for a refreshment.
Outlook's new incoming Mayor Ryan Husband even dropped by to say hi to Santa and his elf, Donna Pearson.
For anyone looking to tour the riverside community in style, a horse-drawn wagon was on-site offering rides around town, which proved to be a hit with many people.
This event was seen as the town's kickoff to the Christmas season and more events are set to take place in the coming weeks, including Santa Claus Day at the Reel Theatre on December 7.
