OUTLOOK - An Outlook man was awarded with a prestigious honour with his family surrounding him.

Dan Cordick was visited at his home in the riverside community by Arm River MLA Dana Skoropad on Friday, August 16, where Cordick, who remains at home in the midst of a battle with cancer, was bestowed with the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Surrounded by his loved ones, Cordick received the medal for his dedication to family and being a notable role model to fellow Saskatchewan residents.

"I had the absolute honour and privilege to present the King Charles III Coronation Medal to Dan Cordick from Outlook," Skoropad noted on social media. "I was happy to be able to share this special moment with his family in attendance. Dan was nominated for this medal for his many years of service to the province of Saskatchewan and for being an exemplary role model to others. His attitude is what Saskatchewan is built on."

The Coronation Medal was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on May 6, 2023. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark a coronation.
