Outlook park puts out spooky vibes with haunted cabins

Park welcomes visitors to spooky, ghostly location in time for Halloween.

OUTLOOK - A part of the Outlook & District Regional Park became overwhelmed with ghosts, monsters and beings from a horrific alternate reality, but it still provided for an entertaining atmosphere for people looking to get into the Halloween spirit of things.

On Saturday, October 26, the park hosted its Haunted Walk Through the Spooky Cabins event, transforming a number of cabins into terrifying displays featuring a number of assorted characters. Visitors could pop in and meet a terrifying demon nun, or if they so dared, they could even visit the cabin of infamous movie monster Jason Voorhees, though of course, there was no guarantee of actually being able to leave the cabin once you entered.

Outside, people could enjoy hot chocolate and even roast hot dogs over a campfire, and all the decorations including an almost endless number of carved pumpkins were an impressive sight to see.

The event, in its second year, has quickly become a popular one down in the Outlook Regional Park.

Now, it won't be long before attention turns to the annual Christmas drive-thru display event that routinely brings many visitors to the park.
