Outlook-Rudy fire crew bids farewell to retiring member

Ferguson dedicated a quarter of a century to local firefighting team.

OUTLOOK - One of Outlook-Rudy Fire & Rescue's very own is hanging up his jacket, shelving his boots, and putting down his helmet.

Sean Ferguson, a mainstay with the Outlook fire crew, has decided to retire after putting in over two decades of service with the department.

On February 26, his last day as an official member of the fire crew was marked with words of praise and dedication from the department.

Taking to social media, the crew released the following statement recognizing Ferguson's time spent with the department.

"Today we are happy to recognize a milestone marked by dedication, bravery, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well being of our community. It is a privilege to recognize and thank you for giving 25 years of selfless service to the Outlook-Rudy Fire & Rescue crew!

Beyond calls of duty, your dedication was evident. Your service was a testament to the highest ideals of what it means to be a firefighter. You have made sacrifices that many of us cannot even begin to imagine. This level of dedication is rare and truly deserving of our deepest gratitude and respect.

Reflecting on your 25 years of service, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on a community. The work you have done has saved lives, protected property, and brought comfort in times of crisis.

Thank you Sean for your courage, your commitment and your incredible 25 years of service."
