OUTLOOK - An apparently violent incident that happened in the bar room of the Outlook Motor Hotel has many people talking within the riverside community.
Online posts that were made on the Outlook Bulletin Board - Hot Topics page on Facebook made claims that late in the night on Saturday night, July 20, a failed pass attempt at young women escalated to the point where three men, said to be armed with weapons, attacked a number of young adults in an altercation that ended just outside the bar.
The police were then called and have been handling the matter.
When reached for comment, Sgt. Mark Langager of the Outlook RCMP confirmed to this reporter that numerous people were assaulted and that there were weapons involved in the incident. When the RCMP was called in, three arrests were made. As a result, a few people were then treated in hospital for injuries.
Due to the matter still being investigated with no charges having been officially laid as of this writing, Sgt. Langager couldn't provide the names of those who were arrested. However, he did note that those involved are part of a work crew from Alberta.
