OUTLOOK - This past weekend saw a flurry of hockey action taking place at the Jim Kook Rec Plex in Outlook.
Shifting the spotlight over to the younger players of the game, the U13 and U15 Ice Hawks teams hosted rosters from Eston, Kindersley, and a combined team made up of players from Kerrobert, Dodsland, and Luseland over Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3.
One of the games included the KDL Stars (Kerrobert, Dodsland and Luseland) taking on the Outlook Ice Hawks in some Under-13 game action on Saturday afternoon.
The action itself was pretty fast and furious, with both rosters giving their all. However, once the Ice Hawks found a way to stay ahead on the scoreboard, they managed to maintain the lead and continue forging ahead, ultimately coming out the winners at a score of 9-4.
Goals scored by Outlook were made by #18 Kash Stephenson (3), #9 Emery Solnicka (3), #22 Raulan Erlandson, #13 Tucker Bull, and #20 Connor Edgar. Goals scored by KDL were made by #13 Boone Blanchette (2), #8 Teagan Swan, and #2 Adam Fischer.
For those interested in checking out some more game action from the community's younger athletes, the Under-13 Ice Hawks are hosting a tournament at the Jim Kook Rec Plex this coming Saturday, November 9.
All youth hockey teams in this part of the province play in the Hi-Way 14 Hockey League.
